Achieve!Minneapolis is engaged in many projects that support
student success.

Here are a few key partnerships, programs and
activities:
STEP-UP
A key component of the city's "Close the Gap" campaign,
STEP-UP prepares and places Minneapolis youth, ages 16-21, in summer jobs.
Achieve! Career and College Initiative
Providing Minneapolis high school students with the skills, knowledge and experience to achieve their postsecondary education and career goals.
School Partners
More than 200 businesses and community organizations partnered
with the Minneapolis Public Schools last year.
E-Mentoring
1,424 Minneapolis students connected with e-mentors from the community. Purchase program manual
: e-Mentoring: An E-Mail Mentoring Model for School-Business Partnerships.
Workplace Tutoring
97 Minneapolis students participated in Workplace Tutoring. Nearly
90 percent of those students increased their scores on the Minnesota
Basic Standards Tests.
High School Transformation
In the fall of 2002, the Minneapolis Public Schools launched
a plan to transform the high-school experience, with goals to increase
academic achievement, improve graduation rates, decrease dropout
rates and help students plan for learning and life beyond high school.
Arts for Academic Achievement
AAA improves student achievement through the arts, enabling
the creation of a vibrant network of students, teachers, teaching
artists and arts organizations.
