Find the volunteer opportunity that matches your interest.
Speaking OpportunitiesShare your experiences with a small group of students, including:
- What your job or college is really like, and what it took to get there.
- How to be successful in the workplace.
- How to network effectively and why it is important.
- A topic of your choosing based on your experiences.
- Worksite Visit: Welcome students to your workplace in order to explore career paths in a positive work environment.
- STEP-UP Mock Interviews: Model your professionalism and give candid feedback while helping students gain interview skills.
- Career Fair: Join other employers to offer a “fair” for students of all ability levels and interests to learn about career options.
- Assist students with creating resumes, completing college and financial aid applications, ACT/SAT prep and writing essays.
- Answer student questions about the processes and resources needed to meet their personal goals.
- Provide support to Career & College Center coordinators.
Form a Partnership
- Individual schools are looking for lasting relationships with businesses and organizations. Current business partners support their schools by:
- Volunteering on a weekly or monthly basis to help students build a variety of academic skills.
- Use a company-wide volunteer day to complete on-site projects, like cleaning up a playground or painting a school facility.
- Organize a company wide fundraising effort to meet the needs of your individual school.
